DIY Birthday Cards for Dad – Because He’s All That & More!

Birthday Cards· Gallery· Masculine Cards

23 Jun

Got DIY Birthday Cards for Dad? Need more masculine card design ideas? Make these easy cards with any papers and stamps you have.

The dad in our lives deserves a special card. I started with DIY Birthday cards for Dad that features the ‘He’s All That’ bundle and ‘He’s the Man designer paper.

We have so many awesome masculine sets in the catalog right now so I made card 2 using “Brewed for You”.

The key to making masculine cards work is to stick with ‘manly’ themes (stamp sets & paper), neutral colors, shapes–keep the cards simple.

Know what else I love about DIY Birthday Cards for Dad? The ‘He’s the Man’ designer paper simplifies the process by including 2 sheets full of die cuts ready to –that’s greetings, shapes, stars, and more!

DIY Birthday Cards For dad

Ready to make some DIY Birthday Cards for Dad or any other man in your life–I hope this inspired you to give these designs a try. Had you overlooked the dies or coordinating paper?

Dies: ‘All That’ Paper: He’s the Man Banners were cut from designer paper and I used scissors to cut the banner tails.

Don’t you love this book binding fold; the left side is scored & glued down to look like a book spine! The unique Cajun Craze colored die cuts are from the “All That” dies.

Want more DIY Birthday Cards for Dad? Try the ‘Brewed for You’ stamp set! Stamp the beer mug onto one of the die cuts from the ‘He’s the Man’ dsp…even layer 2 of the die cuts as I did.

I love the ‘Stylish Shapes’ dies in the He’s All That Bundle. This card would be perfect for the camper man in your life!

My Mystery Stampers will recognize these cards from June 6 Mystery Monday Stamping.

I cut Crumb Cake cardstock the same way we cut the DSP, then cut a strip of Early Espresso cardstock and add it as a ‘trim’ to the Crumb Cake layer. Once you have that done you can emboss both pieces.
