Make a Thank You Card With Beautiful Floral Layers

Gallery

10 Dec

Have you ever tried to make a thank you card with beautiful floral layers? Today is the day and let me tell ya – this is the way to fall in love with card making!

Can you believe I had not yet pulled out the ‘Basket of Blooms’ stamp set yet?! What was I thinking? But today I am happy to make this handmade thank you card and play with the craft punches that match the set too.

To make a thank you card with beautiful floral layers you’ll first start by stamping a bunch of flowers and leaves on white cardstock and color with Stampin’ Blends in whatever colors you love. Use the coordinating craft punch to punch out the flowers and cut the leaves out manually —don’t worry…they are easy to cut.

I always need to make thank you cards. In fact, did you know that when you place an order from my online store for $50 and above (prior to shipping & handling) you get a card and I send thank you gifts too. Read about my rewards program

Card Measurements

  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock = 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
  • Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White Cardstock – scrap

Make a Thank You Card With Me

There’s nothing like a handmade card; you can say thank you not only with your words but making the card is a labor of love too. I wanted to make a thank you card with bright cheerful flowers to chase away those winter blah’s that some in the country are starting to feel. The Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms was my first pick for this card tutorial. Enjoy!

Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder and Stitched Rectangle Dies were used to finish this card.

The Playing with Patterns Resin Dots really made the centers of my flowers pop!  And I love that they are flatter than most embellishments for mailing!
