Make A Pocket Card Extra Charming: Follow These Steps

Birthday Cards· Fun Folds Cards· Gallery

17 Aug

Want to spread a little charm and creativity? Make a pocket card! This handmade card is perfect for celebrating a birthday, saying thank you to someone, or offering support. I’ll guide you through all the steps to make this pocket card in just a few minutes.

I have not used the New In color 2023-2025 Designer Series Papers so for the 1st card I paired the Wild Wheat Designs with Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla; I absolutely loved this color combination!

Keep reading to view the other two card designs. Don’t forget to grab your FREE download below.

Did you enjoy learning how to make a pocket card? What stamps, dies and papers will you use to create your own design? I love reading your ideas!

My team member Cindy Mitchell-Clark suggested this combination to make a pocket card. When I pulled these colors out I realized they reminded me of my high school colors — Maroon and Gold! Too funny right?

I added the stamped images to the inside card panel because it ties the look and theme of the pocket card but you could certainly leave it blank if you prefer.

Pocket Card 2:

The Pebbled Path and Boho Blue colors on this card pair so well together. When you make a pocket card you may find the flap doesn’t want to stay down. Get creative as I did; place the die-cut bird nest so that the bird tucks into the nest and your problem is solved.

Pocket Card 3:

For the third pocket card, I used strips of cardstock instead of designer series paper.

Being from Texas we eat a lot of Mexican food and I adore the Taco Fiesta stamp set. I started this pocket card by choosing three coordinating colors – Real Red, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie. I cut 1/2″ strips of cardstock in each of those colors and adhered them to my cardstock. I finished the card by stamping the images and cutting them out with scissors to decorate the card.
