Fun & Interactive Handmade Card with a Surprise Belt Closure

Beginning Stamping· Card Making Ideas· Card Making Techniques

12 Jan

If you love interactive handmade cards that look impressive but are easy to recreate, you are going to LOVE this design! This fun card features a belt-style buckle closure and opens to reveal a beautiful surprise inside.

I shared how to make this card during Mystery Monday Stamping, where I give step-by-step clues instead of full instructions—so you can use what you have and enjoy the creative process without stress.

The “belt” wraps around the card front and slides through a buckle, making it perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, or anytime you want to send a little love. The best part? Once you understand the basic layout, you can change up the paper, sentiment, and embellishments to fit any occasion.

During Mystery Monday Stamping, stampers from all over the world craft along together using just the clues. It’s such a fun way to stretch your creativity and build confidence—no pressure, no perfection required!
