A Favorite Card Technique That’s Easy: Triple Time Stamping

Over the years I have made many triple time stamping cards and they are always a huge hit! Change the size of the layers, the stamp set and have fun making your creative birthday cards! 

I decided to pull out the ‘Gorgeous Posies’ stamp set by Stampin’ Up! It’s a DistINKtive  stamp set; which is to say, the stamps have some depths and texture to them that make them look more realistic. DistINKtive stamps add that extra layer of beauty when implementing the triple time stamping technique.

What is triple time stamping? It’s simply stamping on 3 layers of cardstock that are cut different sizes and placed to overlap each other. Then you stamp away! The magic happens when we’re done stamping we lift each layer up, add a layer of colored cardstock behind each of those stamped panels and then re-assemble to ‘match’ the pieces. You gotta watch the video but trust me…it’s easy and fun!

Measurements

• Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
• Basic Black Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″, 3″ x 3″, 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
• Whisper White Cardstock – 3 3/4″, 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″, 1 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
