Do You Know The Easy Way To Use The Retiform Technique?

Cards for Friends· Gallery

20 Jul

Tried the retiform technique in your card making, scrapbooking or other paper craft projects? You’re in for a treat with this easy method.

Next month I will be celebrating 24 years as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator! I was thinking back to some card making techniques from the past. I decided it was a great time to bring the retiform technique back and make it current.

What Do I Need For the retiform technique?

To get started with this fun card making technique you need

  • stamps
  • ink
  • cardstock
  • sponge daubers
  • Post-It Notes

This retiform technique is fun with flowers, butterflies, Christmas images…any stamps you want! And since the ‘Enjoy the Moment’ Stamp Set had various plants it was perfect for this card. Grab some of your stamps and give this technique a try! You can also use this technique for scrapbook pages and other paper crafts.

Retiform Technique: Video Tutorial

There are so many card making techniques and I love that it’s a way to make extra creative handmade cards. I think you’ll get hooked on this retiform technique. You’ll be looking at your stamp sets in a new way I bet!

If you are reading this in an email, click here to view on the web.

Are you ready to try the retiform technique? would you stamp monochromatic or in multiple colors? I’d love to hear!

Notice how this one is a bit brighter than the first one? As you saw on the video I didn’t add additional Crumb Cake with a sponge to this card.

Card Measurements

Early Espresso – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″

Very Vanilla – (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″

Had some fun adding color to my Retiform cards! Again by sponging one card afterwards they both look totally different even though I used the same inked plants on both cards.

Doing this Retiform Technique really took me back to when I first became a Demonstrator.

I can’t wait to share with y’all what I am giving away next month in celebration of my 24th Stampaversary! Stay tuned!
