A Fascinating Pop Up Card Idea to Make that’s Easier than You Might Think

Cards for Friends· Gallery

18 Mar

Let me show you a fascinating pop up card idea to make that’s easier than you might think. It’s a handmade card that will be admired for sure!

I am definitely ready for spring so I grabbed the NEW ‘Butterfly Brilliance by Stampin’ Up! and one of the best hidden gems –acetate sheets (aka: window sheets) — and I decided to make these butterflies ‘fly’. I can’t wait to show you how to make this pop up card!

If you missed the YouTube Live tonight you’ll want to click the video link below so you can follow along and make your own pop up card right along side of me. AND….be sure you mark your calendar to join me live on YouTube every Thursday evening. I’ve got lots of ideas and fun to share with you.

This pop up card idea was inspired by the new Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance stamp set.
This thinking of you card looks typical on the outside but on the inside you'll find a pop up card idea surprise!

MEASUREMENTS

  • Just Jade Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 11″ and 3 ¼” x 4 1/4”
  • Cut Just Jade Cardstock into two 5 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ pieces, score on shorter side at 4 1/4″
  • Butterfly Bijou DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Different pattern Butterfly DSP – (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Acetate Window Sheets – 2 strips 3/4″ x 3″
  • Basic White Cardstock – 3″ x 4″

how to add pop up

  • Add the two pieces of DSP 4″ x 5 1/4″ sheets on the Two of Just Jade Cardstock that measures 5 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ with adhesive
  • Add Tear and Tape to the outside flaps of the two pieces of Just Jade that measures 5 1/2″ x 4 7/8″

Here is a download for you to print and create your own Pop Up Butterfly card
