Did you know that this Easter you can make paper Easter eggs with a fun and easy dyeing technique? It’s a technique that teaches you how to make a bubble background! Intrigued? Keep reading!
Easter is a bit earlier this year than typical (March 31, 2024) and I’ve got 14 Grandkids that I want to make handmade Easter cards for so I need to get crafting! It’s been a while since I’ve played with bubbles, but I figured out a simple way to make paper Easter eggs that are so much fun. I taught this bubble technique in Card Making Techniques Vol 10; be sure to check out the bubble card there too.
Although I’m showcasing only four (4) cards today, rest assured that with the efficient Bubble Background Technique, I’ll swiftly create the remaining cards for all the grandkids. To make things even easier for you, I’ve provided a free download below with details on these cards and the supplies I used, ensuring you can recreate them effortlessly.
Make Paper Easter Eggs Look Dyed With This Fun Technique
🐣 Will you make paper easter eggs with this technique? Will you try it for card making, scrapbook pages or some other paper craft?
- Step One – add Dawn Dish soap, water, and ink refill to the container
- Step Two – Use a drinking straw to stir the solution then blow bubbles!
- Step Three – Tap Watercolor Paper to the bubbles until the desired effect is achieved
Make Paper Easter Eggs Turn Into A Shaker Card!
I stamped the egg with bunnies on the Water Color Paper where I had applied the bubble technique and then die-cut them. I added a larger egg die behind it. Everyone loves to get a shaker card, right?!
Another Paper Easter Egg Card With A bunny inside the cracked egg!
After I used the die that cut my egg in half I couldn’t figure out what to do so I stamped a little gray bunny inside and colored it with Smokey Slate Ink. To give it a softer look I applied the ink with a Blender Pen.
tip on layering the small Paper eggs
I thought I wanted this small egg on a larger egg but felt it seemed too big. I still added it with Liquid Glue, then trimmed it with my scissors!
