I’m teaching you how to make a greeting card that uses a simple layout. It’s a quick and easy card versatile for all occasions. 

When you sit down and think about making a greeting card do you get stuck deciding on a layout? Maybe you have some designer or scrapbook paper–even scraps of it and want to figure out a way to use them up.

Today, in Mystery Stamping we’ll go step by step on how to make a greeting card with this simple layout!

CLUE #1 – You can choose to do either Landscape or Portrait for your card

  1. Basic White Cardstock – 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”
  2. Colored Cardstock – 4” x 5 ¼”
  3. Same Colored Cardstock – (2) 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
  4. Designer Series Paper – (2) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
  5. Basic White Cardstock – 3 ¾” x 5”
  6. Scraps – Basic White and Colored Cardstock
  7. Stamps – greeting
  8. Ink Pads
  9. Embossing Folder
  10. Punches, Dies, Snips or Paper Trimmer
  11. Embellishments
  12. Die Cutting Machine
  13. Adhesive – especially liquid glue & Dimensionals

How to Make A Greeting Card: supply List

  • Stamps: Charming Sentiments Bundle (includes the Sentiment Silhouette Dies)
  • Paper: Basic White Thick, Basic White, Night of Navy, Sun Prints Designer Series Paper
  • Ink: Night of Navy
  • Other: Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Fern 3D Embossing Folder

MEASUREMENTS

  • Basic White Thick – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Daffodil Delight – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White – 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Layers: Daffodil Delight – (2) 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ DSP (2) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
  • Greeting layer – Daffodil Delight – 1″ x 2″ Basic White – 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

Black, white, & yellow are always some of my favorite colors! I used the ‘Hive’ 3D Embossing folder since it kinda looks like the polka dots that are in the designer series paper.
