Ready for a fun gift card holder idea you can DIY for a birthday surprise? You’ll love making this creative gift idea and adapting it for other occasions like Mother’s Day or Christmas!

This fun gift card holder is especially made for my 2 daughters who have birthdays coming up. I thought the ‘shopping bags’ would be perfect for them.

The Stampin' Up Sweet Ice Cream bundle makes a fun gift card holder for Birthdays.

Since I am handing this card to one of my daughter’s I decided to wave the Happy Birthday Banner. Keep in mind this will get smashed in the mail! I think this banner would be fine flat for mailing. As I make cards for my family I do try to make them unique!

I love this fun gift card holder that looks like a mini shopping bag.

Since the Black Amazon card didn’t look very pretty I opted to order some Happy Birthday Amazon gift cards. What did we do before Amazon? Have less boxes to recycle for one thing! LOL!

Tear and Tape is the adhesive I recommend for your Shopping Bag. Place it as I show on the photo above. Use your bone folder to burnish the Tear and Tape so it sticks better and the backing is easier to remove.

Below is the other card I made that will also hold a Gift Card. I just think these little Gift Card Shopping Bags are so adorable, don’t you?

Art Gallery is so feminine and perfect for any occasion but especially my daughter’s birthday! Decorating the front of the card can be as detailed as you’d like because the fun is in the Shopping bag inside!

My fun gift card holder easily holds a standard gift card size.

So many shades of yellows allowed me to use the Bumblebee ribbon and the ribbon is key to keep the Gift Card held securely inside the card.
