Frame Fold Card: Want The Easy Tutorial To Make This Greeting Card?

Fun Folds Cards· Gallery

10 Mar

I can teach you how to make this Frame Fold Card the easy way! All you need is some double-sided designer paper and some cardstock!

You’ll want to make sure you watch the frame fold video tutorial included so that you can see how to make and adapt the frame to any size that you want! It’s fun to make and adds a little origami to your card.

Lately, I’ve had several people request ideas on ways to decorate the inside of your cards so today I’m sharing those ideas too!

Frame Fold Card Video Tutorial

Let’s start with the larger frame! You’ll need a 5″ x 5″ piece of designer or scrapbook paper. Once the paper is folded to be a ‘frame’ it will fit perfectly on the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Black and White Pattern paper I am using.

You can decorate your card however you like; I kept my card simple.

⭐️ What designer paper are you going to use to make your Frame Fold Card? I’m anxious to hear from you! What do you think of this card?

Smaller Frame Fold Card Example:

Next, I made a card with a smaller frame.

Use a 4″ x 4″ piece of Designer Series Paper or scrapbook paper and then fold it down.

I like that the smaller frame allows more of the designer paper behind it to be seen.

You can adhere the sides of your frame down if you like but I prefer it not adhered. Try it both ways and see which you like best!

Decorating the inside of the card is fun & easy!

For the smallest Frame Fold Card, I used a 3″ x 3″ piece of Designer Series Paper to make my frame–so tiny and cute! I cut out some hearts (heart die from ‘Warm Wraps Dies’) in Real Red cardstock to decorate the front of my card.

Bonus Tip: Looking for the perfect item or embellishment to add to a card (like these small hearts) search the Stampin’ Up! website for a word like ‘hearts’ to see what comes up. Stamp sets came up but so did the Warm Wraps Dies. Super helpful!
