Fall Cards You Can Make By Hand? What’s Better Than Soft Seedlings!

Card Making Techniques· Gallery

3 Nov

Make fall cards with realistic color gradients! This beautiful card making tutorial will be a favorite this autumn. With the lovely fall colors here in Texas I was inspired by all the nature around me!

Just like the leaves around me, I wanted to make the leaves on my cards have different gradients of color and I paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings stamp set. To achieve the color variation on my fall cards I inked the leaf in one color and then used sponge daubers to add color along the edges of the leaf. I loved this technique.

I added this card making technique to my Reference Guide Book! You can find your FREE download for your own guide book at the bottom of this post.

My Cardmaking Reference Book has 57 techniques and 55 of them were taught in classes in past months. Make sure you grab those past techniques. You can add technqiue printables to your guide book.

The guide also has 8 Fun Fold Cards (my new series)! So many of y’all love this great tool to keep on your craft table!

How fun that Stampin’ Up! brought us the Falling Leaves 3D Embossing Folder too. I love how it complimented the leaf from the stamp set. Take a look at all the cards shown today and you will see that I used it on cardstock and foil paper too.

What other special element do these fall cards have? Wink of Stella! It was the perfect touch for adding a WOW factor.

This card layout is nice and very versatile too.

These Fall leaves have a golden color along with some other traditional fall colors. I decided it was only natural for me to use Gold Foil to finish off this card!
