Easy Fun Fold Card Tutorial | 3 Beautiful Card Ideas

Beginning Stamping· Card Making Ideas· Card Making Techniques

2 Nov

Hey y’all! Have you ever received a handmade card and immediately thought, “I HAVE to make one of these!”? Well, that’s exactly what happened to me!

This week’s Mystery Monday Stamping card was inspired by a beautiful Happy Mail card I received from Mary Dorraugh. I loved her fun fold design so much that I knew we had to give it a try!

One of my favorite things about our stamping community is how we inspire each other. That’s what Happy Mail is all about—sharing handmade cards, spreading kindness, and discovering new creative ideas!

For Mystery Monday Stamping on November 2, 2026, I created two versions of this fun fold card, and I can’t wait to show you how different they look!

A Fun Fold with a Surprise Inside!

At first glance, this looks like a pretty layered card. But open it up, and there’s a surprise!

The center panel folds upward, revealing additional Designer Series Paper and a space inside for your message.

And the best part? You can change the entire look simply by choosing different cardstock, Designer Series Paper, and embellishments!

Card #1: Peaceful Pines and All Wrapped Up

For my first card, I used Peaceful Pines cardstock with Cloud Cover and the All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I love the soft botanical pattern paired with the darker green cardstock. The little bouquet with its blue berries and bow adds such a pretty focal point!

The “It’s Your Day!” greeting comes from the Elegantly Wrapped Stamp Set, and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels add just the right amount of sparkle.

Supplies Used:

  • Stamp Set: Elegantly Wrapped
  • Cardstock: Peaceful Pines, Cloud Cover, Basic White
  • Ink: Peaceful Pines
  • Designer Series Paper: All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Embellishments: Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Don’t forget to look closely at your Designer Series Paper! Sometimes the prettiest embellishments are already printed on the paper, just waiting to be cut out!

Card #2: Pretty Peacock and Whispering Woods

For my second card, I went with a completely different color combination!

I used Pretty Peacock cardstock with Pool Party and Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper.

Oh my goodness, I love these colors together!

For the focal point, I used the Wrapped Greenery stamps and dies to create a beautiful bouquet with a bow. I also added die-cut greenery for extra dimension.

The greeting is from the Elegantly Wrapped Stamp Set, just like my first card.

I finished everything with Pearl Adhesive-Backed Faceted Dots.

And don’t forget to look inside! I added more Designer Series Paper and a decorative die-cut accent to carry the design throughout the card.
