Everyone loves easy card making and today you’ll get to crack the code to making a beautiful greeting card with a simple layout. Warning: this tutorial may lead to an addiction to those beautiful designer series papers!
I’m giving some love the Very Best Occasions stamp set. I made this fun card with a basic card layout and featured the ‘Flight and Airy’ designer series paper—a FREE option during Sale-A-Bration while supplies last.
Mystery Stamping is the perfect recipe for laughter and learning. It’s also perfect for easy card making and it is beginner friendly too! To make this card you only need a few supplies and any greeting stamp set of your choice.
Easy Card Making Starts With A Basic Layout
While making this card, I encountered a hilarious mishap that just proves anyone can make mistakes… even seasoned crafters like me! Stay tuned to find out what happened and how I turned it into a happy accident.

Placement matters! Check out these two cards – seemingly identical except for the circle placement. On the bottom card, thanks to the forgiving pattern of the Designer Series Paper, it doesn’t make a difference. But move that circle up to the top card, and whoops! My adorable birdies nearly lost their heads! This little experiment highlights the importance of considering both your stamp placement and the design of your paper.
I chose to add embellishments to both of my cards but this easy card would look great even if they were left off. In Mystery Stamping, I tell people go rogue whenever they want or need to! Card making should be creative and fun…no need to feel boxed in. Are you inspired by this easy card making session? I hope so!
