2 Mar

Card Making Techniques Vol 14 brings us to 75 craft techniques for your cardmaking! If you love to step up your cards I have shared so many ideas in other Volumes and have more to share today!

How do you get this month’s Card Making Techniques Vol 14 for Free? With a $50 order on my Stampin’ Up! website or if you prefer, you can purchase the tutorials in the Tutorial Shop.

CARD MAKING TECHNIQUES VOL 14 INCLUDES:

  • Reverse Masking
  • Blending Watercolor Pencils Technique
  • Misted Marker Vellum Technique
  • Faux Spotlight Technique
  • Marker and Ink Technique

As you watch the video below you will have a better understanding of what these techniques are and just how they will add so much more to your handmade cards.

TECHNIQUE #1 Reverse masking

This is a fun technique that everyone needs to remember. That’s why we are adding it to our reference book!

  1. Use a die like the Rectangle Stitched Dies and cut out the center of a piece of cardstock
  2. Add color to the inside of the cutout area with Blending Brushes!
Reverse Masking Wishing you a beachy day

TECHNIQUE #2 Blending Watercolor Pencils

Watercolor Pencils have not gotten much love lately and today we are changing that! We will be using a Stampin’ Blends color lifter to blend them in this fun Technique.

Blending Watercolor Pencils Technique Healing Thoughts

TECHNIQUE #3 Misted Marker Vellum Technique

We have done several things with Vellum in the Technique Series but this one is a little bit different because I am using the Vellum Layering Designs paper that has some script fonts on it.

Misted Marker Technique Love Never Fails

TECHNIQUE #4 Faux Spotlight Technique

We have also done the Spotlight Technique in Volume 1 but this one is a Faux version that is super easy to do!

Faux Spotlighting Technique Sympathy

technique #5 Marker and Ink Technique

When you use your ink pad to ink up a stamp you can then add some additional color to that stamped image with a Stampin’ Write Marker. These markers are water-based and will not harm your stamps. I learned this technique from my friend Tina Zinck who lives in Canada!
