This creative card idea came from looking at my stash of stamp sets and wanting to showcase some of the Stampin’ Up! retired sets and retiring colors.
This card also used Swirly Frames, Bokeh Dots Stamp Set (Retiring) and Here’s to Strong Women (Retiring). If you are inspired by my cards today you need to order those retiring sets as soon as possible. The sale is ‘while supplies last’ or June 2, 2020–whichever is latest.
This card was super fun and easy to make but I just had to go and make another one with gold embossing powder!

Creative Card Making Idea: Images
Gold is the highlight of this card! Gold Stars, gold sentiment, gold foil…no other color would do it justice! My grandkids will love getting these cards for doing all of their homeschooling right now. Maybe I need to send one to their moms for being their teachers, now those are Strong Women! !!!
Measurements
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Gold Foil – 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 3″ x 4 1/4″, scrap for sentiment
Instructions
- Add the Gold Foil to the Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Rub the embossing buddy over the Whisper White 3″ x 4 1/4″ Whisper White
- Stamp the Bokeh Stars with Versamark Ink
- Stamp the Swirly Frames image with Versamark Ink
- Pour Gold Emboss Powder over, heat set
- Add stamped layer to Gold Foil layer with Dimensionals
- Rub Embossing Buddy over Whisper White scrap
- Stamp sentiment with Versamark
- Pour Gold Emboss Powder over and heat set
- Punch sentiment with Everyday Label Punch
- Add to card front with Dimensionals
