I know most of the country it’s still cold (even here in Southern Arizona!) but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming of the beach! As I pulled out this Stampin’ Up! Beach Happy Stamp set I noticed my framed picture of Palm Trees from Hawaii that I took a few years ago.
Why a Card is the Best Launch to your Beach Vacation? A handmade card to celebrate getting away to the beach is a lovely keepsake and excitement builder! Or, if that doesn’t float your boat, think of making a bunch of beach theme thank you cards to hand out to staff and servers your meet along the way of your vacation!
When I tried to make my handmade card look just like this photo I failed miserably! It was way to hard to duplicate but I will say it was my inspiration for this card! I will share with you all of my attempts at making this card! I definitely had a lot of fun with this Stampin’ Up! Beach Happy stamp set!!

Embossing the Palm Trees with Black Emboss was the only thing I could think of to be able to stamp over the Vellum “Water”!!! When I attempted to color the sunset like my photo I just wasn’t happy with the results as I shared the other cards I made on my video!

Measurements
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Crumb Cake Cardstock – at least two inches x 5 1/2″, enough for you to tear with your fingers
- Graceful Glass Vellum – cut “waves” at least 2 inches
