Southern Arizona is the Hummingbird Capital in the United States! People come from all over to see these amazing little birds! We have several bird feeders and truly love watching them. There is always a dominate hummer that chases the others away from the feeders! They are great inspiration for my watercolor greeting card!!

Hummingbirds need a lot of sweet water…that’s how they turn out so cute on these thank you cards!!
While my watercoloring isn’t soft I loved how this Thank You card turned out! I’m sure when I took watercolor lessons a few years ago my teacher was going nuts! I kept asking for more paint! She would tell me my paint would last longer if I used more water! LOL! What can I say? I love bold colors!

Measurements for Watercolor Greeting Card:
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Daffodil Delight Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Shimmery White Cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Can you see the Shimmery White cardstock’s shimmer? I love this cardstock and wish it came in bigger packages! It’s perfect for watercoloring on since the fibers of the paper don’t tear down when you add water. When I am embossing I prefer to use Shimmery White over Watercolor Paper.
