I’ve got two masking tips for your handmade cards that I’m sharing today. Masking Technique is easy and I will share some great tips with you to make it go smoothly! You’ll love this card making technique!!
This blog posts will show you two different masking tips & ways to use post it notes to assist you with this cardmaking technique. Using two different sizes for different purposes.
My first masking tip is simply placing the post it note across my paper. Stamp the deer first with Black Memento ink, then lay the post it note above the deer.
Use a quarter of a sponge and apply Night of Navy ink (I found I loved a darker look so I added a lot of Night of Navy)
Ink up the Softly Falling Embossing Folder with Craft White Ink. Run the Whisper White layer thru the Big Shot. Pour White Emboss Powder over the Craft Ink and heat set.
Second Masking Tip
For this second masking tip I used my snips and cut the larger post it note down the middle to give it a snow banked look! Using the smaller post it note stamp the small deer on it and cut out along the top part only.
Stamp the larger deer with Memento ink on the left then stamp one small deer to the right of first deer. Place mask over deer slightly lower (see video) and stamp another small deer above the first small deer.
On my video I share with you what happens if you don’t place the post it note deer down a little bit so make sure you watch that tip!
Most importantly I share with you two different ways to “make the snow” using the ink pad and Softly Falling embossing folder!
Two Masking Tips for your Handmade Cards Video Tutorial:
You will find every one of these that you make will look a little different and I loved that! I was using all the same supplies but depending on the stamping of the deer and the masks they all looked different.
Another difference is how inked up your stamp pad is. The more you use the sponge and ink the lighter your cards will look!
