Tips for Cling Mount Stamps

Gallery

9 Feb

Have you purchased any of the new cling mount stamps yet? Today I’ve got tips for cling mount stamps to share with you that will make the prepping process a breeze!

Introduced this month in the 2019 Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration catalog and these new stamps have brought some questions from some of you.  While the sticky labels may seem odd at first I feel you will quickly fall in love with them.  No more having stamps fall off the clear blocks like you may have experienced with Clear Mount…thus the term ‘cling stamps’!

Labeling cling stamps is a slightly different process than you may be used to. It is important to follow the steps below to assemble cling stamps. Each cling stamp case will also include labeling instructions.

How to Assemble

  1. Remove the paper backing from the label sheet.
  2. Remove your selected stamp from the rubber sheet and remove the paper backing from the stamp.
  3. Line up the foam side of the stamp with the image label, then press it evenly to adhere it to the label. Make sure it is correctly positioned before you adhere it to the stamp.
  4. Remove the stamp and its newly-affixed image label from the label sheet.
  5. Place the stamp on an acrylic block to begin stamping.

Note: Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered permanently.Attempting to remove or adjust the label will damage the stamp’s foam.

Tips for Cling Mount Stamps to Help You

To remove the stamp from the block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly. (Cling stamps stick so well that if they are not carefully removed from the block, the foam can tear.)

Stamps too sticky for you?  You can tap the label on your clothes to help the label not be so sticky

Stamps not sticking?  Over a period of time dirt may be on the label, simple clean them by running them under cool water.  No soap or alcohol based cleaners!

Don’t leave the stamps on the clear blocks for extended length of time, they may be harder to remove.
