Textured Embossing Technique: Try This New Design For A Greeting Card

Birthday Cards· Card Making Techniques· Gallery

3 Feb

I came up with a new textured embossing technique for paper crafting and card making. I’ll teach you how to create this same look!

The star of these cards, other than embossing powder, is a great stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called ‘Flowing Flowers’. I love that it has a nice mix of images and greetings.

I love using card making techniques so I set out to create something unique! I came up with this new textured embossing technique. It is a double embossing of sorts. You’ll want to be sure and watch the video to watch how this card is made!

I’m going to have to add this textured embossing technique to my monthly card making technique class too!

Textured Embossing Technique

Heat embossing is so fun and the Stampin’ Up! heat tool is easy to work with. There are 2 heat settings on this heat gun, unlike many on the market that only have one. Add embossing powder, heat and then repeat in small sections and before you know it your textured embossing technique is perfected on your handmade card or scrapbook page!

⭐️ Are you excited to try this textured embossing technique? I’d can’t wait to read your thoughts!

Flower stamped in Pale Papaya; Misty Moonlight marker to color leaves then sponged a little Cinnamon Cider ink to flowers’ center.

I have an addiction to the Brushed Brass Butterflies (say that three times!) because I am using them all of the time!

The ‘Flowing Flowers pairs nicely with the ‘Hand-Penned’ Designer paper

On this card I took scraps of the DSP and cut into 3 squares. Next, I matted them on Misty Moonlight Cardstock.

The Pale Papaya pattern from the ‘Hand-Penned’ Designer Series Paper was used as a mat for this card. It add a different kind of texture this way!

If you would like my Free download to remember all of the cards on today’s blog post it is available below.
