Make Creative Cards with the Sweet Citrus Collection by Stampin’Up!

Cards for Friends· Gallery

26 Jan

Get ready to craft something special with the exciting new Sweet Citrus Collection from Stampin’Up! Whether you’re inspired by the vibrant colors and patterns or ready to make stunning cards for any occasion, this set offers a range of products perfect for any level crafter.

It seems that having a Citrus Themed Baby Shower is very popular right now so the timing for the Sweet Citrus bundle is perfect! A friend asked me to teach how to stamp on baby onesies and bibs; I jumped at the opportunity! Check out those cute pictures below.

The fun really kicked in when I was packaging her gift and thought to ask her what was the theme/colors of her shower. She sent me some pictures of her thoughts and I was all over it because it was Citrus!!!

I made a gift bag and stamped on the tissue paper inside plus I made another card (see the Toilet Paper Technique I demonstrated earlier this month)

I went on to make 3 more cards with this Sweet Citrus collection which I’m sharing today.

Plus it smelled so fresh and fruity in the room!

Have you ever stamped on fabric? This was a great activity at the shower!

Sweet CITRUS: Explore Color and Texture Combinations

The Sweet Citrus stamp is perfect to mix different colors. Think Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green. Then use the coordinating dies to cut the fruit out. You can have a stack of citrus ready to layer and make cards.

The Sweet Citrus Bundle comes with an Embossing Folder so I used it on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of white cardstock which I laid on top of the card base. Next, I used the die-cut fruits to add to the top of the card.

Do you like the embossed layer in Starry Sky cardstock? The combination of the blue with the bright lemons really makes a cheerful card.

Last, I embossed on Granny Apple Green cardstock and added die-cut fruits in yellows, pinks, and greens. A fun and simple card!

HOw about a coconut?

So fun to simply use Soft Suede for the outer part of the “fruit” to make it look like coconut. I used Smokey Slate ink refill with water and painted the center of the coconut!
