Stitched All Around CASE card

Cards for Friends

13 Jun

Stitched All Around CASE card.  First what does CASE mean?  Copy And Share Everything!  I copied the cards from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog for this card.

Stampin’ Up! Catalogs are perfect for inspiration!  I challenged myself today to copy the card that is featured on Page 17 with the Stitched All Around Bundle.  And while it wasn’t easy I did it!  The part that was’t easy was the fussy cutting the flowers out from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper.

However, I live in Southern Arizona and my husband and I sit outside all the time.  I took the DSP and went outside and fussy cut them out.  I found it relaxing!  Surprising enough!

The card from the catalog is this one.  How did I do?

Here is mine:

Okay I will admit.  I left off a small strip of DSP that had some leaves on it.  However, when you are copying a card maybe you do the same thing.  You don’t have what they showed or you don’t like what they did.  It’s all ok!  In the end it is your card and that is all that matters!

Stitched All Around CASE card Supplies Used:

Stitched All Around Bundle

Berry Burst Cardstock – 4″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″

Share What You Love Designer Series Paper – Striped Pattern 1″ x 3 3/4″

Blushing Bride Cardstock – 1/2″  3″ snip ends on left side to form a banner tail

Berry Burst Ink

Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon – approximately 8″

Stitched All Around CASE card Instructions:

Take snips and cut two flowers and cluster of leaves from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper

Stamp the “x’s” image twice about in the middle of the card on the right hand side with Berry Burst Ink.  I found using my Stamparatus and Hinge Stamping Technique Helped!

Adhere the Blushing Bride strip with Snail under the stamped images with Snail

Add the Striped piece of DSP under the Blushing Bride strip with Snail

Stamp vine image under the DSP with Berry Burst

Add the Ribbon with Snail.  I found it helpful to apply Snail to the entire piece and then fold over and place on the card.  The ribbon is kinda bulky and this helped control how I placed it on the card.

Add the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Dimensioals

Stamp Friend on Whisper White scrap, cut out with Framelits, add to the card front with Snail

Come back tomorrow to see what else I did using the 20180-2019 Annual Catalog for inspiration using this stamp set!
