A Chic Slim Line Card You’ll Love To Learn How To Make

Gallery

10 Sep

WooHoo! I’ve got a chic slim line card you’ll love to learn how to make. Slim line cards are all the rage right now and I’ve got a bonus teaching you how to make an envelope for this creative card idea too.

I LOVE how this slim line card design turned out and making the coordinating envelope is easy and fun.

In case you are wondering…. if you are here in the U.S. and mailing your card first class then the postage should be just one stamp (like any other card) as long as you don’t decorate the front of your slim line with thick embellishments. It’s a letter sized envelope you’re creating. If you add embellishments to your card front then the postage may be more (anything over 1/4″ requires additional postage). Now…back to our slim line card discussion…

The Boho Designer Paper (from the Boho Indigo product medley–one of my favorites!) was absolutely perfect for this slim line card. Use whatever paper scraps you have on hand that coordinate with each other. Each strip is 1/2″ wide.

For the greeting on this handmade card I used the ‘Massive Thanks’ stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock – 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″

  • Sentiment Layers – Very Vanilla – 1 3/4″ x 2 3/4″, Misty Moonlight 2″ x 3″

Slim Line Card Video Tutorial + Bonus Matching Envelope!

This slim line card has so many fun elements! The card size is fun and different from the traditional A2 size, it’s a great way to use your paper scraps to decorate the front and then get creative with what embellishments you want to use to finish off your card. I’ve got all the details you need including how to make a matching envelope in this video tutorial.

Thanks for the information and pattern for the slimline card envelope. Have made slimline cards but used legal size envelopes and they work fine but love the idea of matching my envelopes to the cards. Always enjoy your tutorials. I’m also from Texas. Have a Blessed Day! Glenda

Loved the slimline you made using strips. Is your host code the same all the time or different each month
