Simple Design Plus Great Paper Make Card Making A Breeze

Card Making Ideas· Cards for Friends· Easy Cards· Gallery· Masculine Cards· Mystery Stamping Cards

6 May

If you thought your handmade cards needed more than a simple design, I’m here to show you the beauty of a basic card layout paired with some awesome designer series paper. Oh, and a great embossing folder that is a bit magical!

The star of the card I’m featuring today is the Stampin’ Up! Country Woods Designer Series Paper. The paper I used from the pack reminds me of the beach wood I have in my studio. As you know, I love the beach and all things related, so it was a no-brainer to use this paper. Many of the papers in the Country Woods pack look like regular wood, and those, too, will make fabulous masculine cards.

For this Mystery Monday Stamping card, I decided to continue the beach theme and bring out the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder. The simple design is like magic when the hybrid embossing folder works its magic; the ability to both emboss and die-cut at the same time is amazing. I love how the Petal Pink seashell turned out with so much detail. Do you see how a simple design can still look so stunning?!

Add a strip of scrapbook paper to the envelope flap to carry the theme…simple design, great look!

Look at the details of this Sand Dollar; I just love it! If you want more ideas that feature the new Basic Beige cardstock and the Seaside Wishes bundle tune in to future posts. I am not done playing with this bundle and there are many more cards with simple designs coming your way!

The greeting from ‘Seaside Wishes’ was stamped on a white banner tail layer, and then I cut two other banners from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper to finish the card.
