A Simple Card To Make With Bright & Cheerfulness In Mind

Easy Cards· Gallery· Mystery Stamping Cards

21 Nov

How to cheer someone up? Make a simple card with bright colors and pop it in the mail! That’s what we’re going to do today. You can make a card in 5 minutes once you master the concept here.

What do you need to get started on your simple card? Bright color ink, cardstock, designer paper (or scrapbook paper), and a stamp set.

As I made this card I thought it looked almost like a quilt; I am not a quilter but how fun to create a quilted look on a simple card.

1 fun way to make your card cheerful from the start is to pick a small stamp and ink it up with the same color as the cardstock for a tone-on-tone look and stamp the edges of your card base.

Next, add layers of designer paper to make the rest of your card. Simple, right?!

A Simple Card To Make + Bright Colors= Smiles in The Mail

Have you created with the 2022-2024 In Colors lately? I loved pulling them out to create some simple cards and it was so refreshing and uplifting to work with such bright colors. I think the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper is perfect for this card and I used 4 squares to form the large square in the middle.

Who are you mailing your card to? What designer paper will you choose? Share your thoughts!

Butterfly stamped with Fresh Freesia Ink and greeting stamped on top with memento black ink.

On top of my 4 squares, I added a strip cut from designer paper and a banner cut from cardstock. Bakers twine was a nice touch around the center of the banner.

To finish my greeting I added a stamped circle layer and backed that with a coordinating cut circle from Orchid Oasis colored cardstock.

Notice the Night of Navy Embellishments? They are from the Solid Faceted Gems but I found the Night of Navy was close enough for the Starry Sky colors in the paper.
