Transform Shaving Cream into Art + Masculine December Card Class

Birthday Cards· Card Making Ideas· Card Making Techniques· Gallery· Masculine Cards

12 Dec

Have you ever seen the shaving cream card making technique? It may seem a bit unconventional, but it’s a fun and easy way to create unique and masculine cards. I was inspired by Linda Dalke, an Australian demonstrator who accidentally discovered this technique while cleaning up after a class.

I recently used this technique to create a masculine Happy Birthday card for my son. I was so impressed with the results that I decided to share this technique with you in my December online card class.

In this class, I’ll teach you how to create stunning cards using shaving cream. And, we’ll also explore different techniques and designs, including the Double Decker card. This fun fold card is perfect for any guy in your life.

If you spend over $50 in my online Stampin’ Up! Store during December 2024, you’ll receive access to this exclusive tutorial.

So, let’s get busy and turn shaving cream into a work of art!

Supplies used today: Stamp Sets- Under the Moon, Round We Go, & Happiest Day, Cardstock: Night of Navy, & White; Inks: Night of Navy & Memento Black.

My first card is called a Double Decker card, and I loved making it! I think the guys will love this fun fold combined with the color and texture of this card! There are plenty of other handmade birthday card ideas in this post to choose from if you prefer something different.

What do you think? Are you excited to try this shaving cream card technique? What color inks do you want to try?

To add a touch of color to the shaving cream, I dropped in some Night of Navy and Pool Party ink refills. With a plastic knife, I swirled the colors together, watching as they blended.

I let the shaving cream sit overnight, and it looked like a dark blob with sparkles on it the next day! So pretty!

The next day, I started tapping Basic White pieces in the shaving cream that had dried out but still colored the cardstock. It was fun to see the different variations! I then started making the rest of my Masculine Birthday Cards to get my stash refilled!
