Mystery Monday Stamping – Spotlighting Technique

Beginning Stamping· Card Making Ideas· Card Making Techniques· Mystery Stamping Cards

28 Jul

Happy Mystery Monday, Y’all! 🎨✨. It’s that time again—time to gather your supplies and let your creativity shine! For today’s Mystery Monday Stamping project, I pulled out the Charming Day Stamp Set and combined it with one of my favorite techniques: Spotlighting! This simple yet stunning technique is a total game-changer, especially when you want to draw attention to a specific part of your stamped image.

Video Tutorial

If you’ve never tried the Spotlighting Technique before, I’ve got you covered! I broke it down step-by-step in a previous post with 10 must-try card-making techniques. You can check that out here:
👉 Card Making Techniques Volume 1 – Spotlighting & More

Today’s card came together beautifully! I used layered squares to highlight just a portion of my stamped image, colored it in, and left the rest black and white—giving the card a real “wow” effect with minimal effort. This is such a great technique when you’re short on time but still want to make something special.

💌 Whether you’re stamping along live or catching the replay, I hope you’ll give this technique a try! Be sure to post your version of today’s Mystery Card in the Mystery Monday Stamping Facebook Group—we LOVE seeing your creations and how you put your own spin on the clues!

📸 Don’t forget to tag me @TxStampinSharon and use #MysteryMondayStamping so I can see and cheer you on!

Happy Stamping and Spotlighting,
Sharon
