Mystery Monday Stamping | Easy Handmade Card Tutorial

Beginning Stamping· Card Making Ideas· Card Making Techniques· Mystery Stamping Cards

27 Oct

Hey y’all! I’m TxStampin’ Sharon, and I’m excited to share this week’s Mystery Monday Stamping project. Each Mystery Monday, we create a card step-by-step together on YouTube. The twist? You don’t see the finished card until the very end!

If you’re new to Mystery Monday, it’s a free, fun, and stress-free stamping class designed to spark creativity and help you use the supplies you already own.

About This Week’s Card

This week’s project was a landscape-style handmade card featuring soft winter tones of Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, and Basic White cardstock.

I paired those with the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper to create calm, elegant layers.
The stamp sets I used were:

  • Traditional Labels Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Textured Notes Cling Stamp Set

This design works beautifully for a holiday card, birthday card, or any occasion where you want a gentle, elegant feel.

CLUES #2–#10 – Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Clue #2 – Background
    • Stamp tone-on-tone images on the left half of the card front to add soft texture.
  • Clue #3 – Layering
    • Glue the cardstock and DSP strips from right to left, starting ¼″ from the card’s right edge.
  • Clue #4 – Sentiment
    • Stamp your greeting, trim the ends into banner tails, and pop it up with Dimensionals.
  • Clue #5 – Finishing Touches
    • Add embellishments and complete the inside with a stamped sentiment and a small DSP strip.

🌟 Mystery Solved!

The finished design is elegant yet simple—perfect for birthdays, holidays, or thinking-of-you cards. The peaceful tones and layered panels make this layout versatile for any occasion.

💡 Pro Tip: My two Mystery Monday rules still apply—

  1. No Stress
  2. Just Go Rogue!

If an idea hits you mid-stamping, go for it! That’s how the most creative cards come to life.
