Make a Lovely Birthday Card for a Daughter (or any Gal in Your Life)

Birthday Cards· Gallery· Uncategorized

28 Mar

Make a lovely birthday card for a daughter (or any Gal in your life)! This is a beautiful and simple birthday card to make. Let me show you how.

I’ve got lots of Birthday’s in my family every month so of course I’m always designing those creative birthday card ideas to share!

The Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Stamp set has the perfect flowers for this card and the ‘Peaceful Moments Stamp set’ has the greeting font I wanted to use.

All of the cards I am sharing today have the same measurements that you will find below.

Capturing silver foil and Wink of Stella can be tricky but these angles really show you how pretty this card turned out!  Did you know that the Seaside Spray 1/4″ (6.4 Mm) Metallic Ribbon is a carryover item from the Holiday Catalog?  You can find other carryover items on my store page under Holiday Favorites!

Since I have been a Stampin’ UP! Demonstrator for over 22 years my kids have set a high bar when it comes to me sending them cards!  The daughter that I am making a Happy Birthday card for does not like glitter (GASP!) so I used my Wink of Stella to add the sparkle!

Since my daughter’s birthday is coming up I started with this card.  I loved it but kept on playing because I wanted it to be special.  I do this all of the time when I am making a card for a specific person!

First I stamped the flowers using Seaside Spray Classic Ink, stamped the leaves below the flowers and on the Whisper White Layer.  Then I used the leaf punch and tucked it behind my fussy cut flower.  Assembled the card and added the gorgeous ribbon!

When the card was all assembled I added the Wink of Stella and colored the flowers!  Love the sparkle!

I decided to step it up a bit and used just the large flower in Floral Essences Stamp set and the leaves.  As I mention in my video I colored the outline type leaves and wasn’t very happy so I cut out Pear Pizzazz cardstock with the Flourish Dies.  Embossed the Whisper White layer with Layered Leaves 3D Embossing folder.  While I do love how it turned out I continued playing until I did the first card on today’s blog post!

So hard to capture the glistening of Wink of Stella but this angle helps!

    Good morning Sharon
I love all your videos but they keep getting better and better. I have so many favorites. My favorite in this video is the last one especially when you applied the wink of stella on the flower that threw it over the top!! I’m sure your daughter will love it!!!
