How to Master the Embossed Stamping Technique

Gallery· Uncategorized

10 Aug

Let me teach you how to master the embossed stamping technique! Stamping in hot embossing powder might be scary at first but I promise it doesn’t hurt your stamps!  Use Versamark ink to coat the stamp to prevent it from sticking in the hot embossed powders and you will be fine!  I think you’re gonna fall in love with the shiny fun you can create with this embossed stamping technique!

On this card I did a lot of embossing!  My favorite is copper and I used it on the sentiment, the milk can and the embossed background.

Techniques are my favorite things to do with stamping and the ones I share on today’s project includes a lot!  Use Versamark ink to ink up the Tiled 3D embossing folder and emboss the pretty peacock foil paper, then sprinkle all three embossing powders (Gold, Silver and Copper) all over to give it sort of a Patina look!

The milk can has four layers of copper embossing to give it a nice deep embossed look with the fourth layer being the embossed stamping technique.  My base for this layer was copper foil but you really could use any color you wanted.  Since I have so many scraps of copper and I wanted that to peek thru my stamping so I chose the copper.

The other colors of embossing powder are not as vivid as the Copper but I was happy with that since my focus element is copper!
