As I was making these cards I remembered an old technique using scissors (check out Stampin’ Up! paper snips–they are above your average in quality) to rough up the edges of my layers. You can see what I am talking about in my video. All of these cards are flat with no dimensionals used.
Background Paper for Card Making
Have you ever made background paper for card making, scrapbooking, or other paper crafts? This is an easy stamping technique. You can stamp in multiple colors or single color and change up the look. Your handmade cards will be unique and memorable!

All of these cards are part of my Easy Peasy 1-2-3 Series. These handmade cards are geared for new stampers and avid stampers alike. - Pear Pizzazz Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Pear Pizzazz Cardstock – 1 3/4″ x 4″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 1 1/2″ x 4″
Measurements
- Highland Heather Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Highland Heather Cardstock – 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4
Add a few other things like Wink of Stella to your flowers. Or you could even add some Rhinestones or Pearls if you have them!
Since I had some Bermuda Bay 3/8″ Chevron Ribbon I added it to this card. And some Wink of Stella!

- Bermuda Bay Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Bermuda Bay Cardstock – 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 2″ x 5 1/4
How about Tone on Tone background Stamping? Use the leaves from First Frost to stamp the Pineapple Punch Cardstock. Then stamp the layer of Whisper White with Pineapple Punch and Pear Pizzazz.

- Pineapple Punch Cardstock – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic Black Cardstock – 3 1/2″ x 4″
- Whisper White Cardstock – 3 1/4″ x 3 3/4″

Great cards I do this but I make the whole 81/2 x 11 background paper and then I cut them out.
