How to Make a ‘W’ Fun Fold Card with Step by Step Instructions

Are you ready to learn how to make a ‘W’ fun fold card with step by step instructions? Fun fold cards are always a favorite here … it’s card making fun at it’s finest I say!

On a recent YouTube Live I showed several cards and everyone fell in love with the ‘W’ fun fold card as it turns out!  So by popular requests, I have the instructions for you as well as the step by step instructions!  If you missed the YouTube Live last month you can watch it here as a replay but be sure to join me on the next one December 19, 2019.

This is a unique card fold as you will see; on the inside the fold makes a ‘W’!

I wanted to give y’all different ideas when making the ‘W’ fun fold card.  This card has more stamping on it where my first one didn’t.  And I used a little bit of Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers on my panels.

As I made the video I made a fun change when I started adding the panels!  You will hear my excitement on the video!  LOL!

Also, when you are stamping something inside you do not have much room so I advise stamping first to make sure the sentiment will fit.  You will want the ‘W’ part to be centered when you add it inside.

Here is a thank you card with Magnolia Lane Designer Series Papers (my FAV!!).  Simple but I think so pretty with the DSP!

Adding all DSP to the panels is a great way to use up scraps that we all hang onto!  I used Good Morning Magnolia and stamped the magnolia buds then used the dies to cut them out.  Colored with Pretty Petal Stampin’ Blends both light and dark as well as Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Light.

This card also used a lot of DSP scraps!

The star of this card is what makes it a “W”, score the 1 3/4″ x 11″ strip at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″.

Add Tear and Tape to the ends to hold the strip inside the card.

Flip it over and add two strips of Tear and Tape to hold the panels on.
