The Batik Technique in cardmaking is one of the most beautiful ways to create soft, blended backgrounds with layered images, and today I’m excited to teach you exactly how to make this stunning leafy “Many Thanks” card!
For this tutorial, I used four shades of green ink, the Gathering Moments Stamp Set, and the Natural Botanical Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! These detailed leaves work perfectly with the Batik Technique, giving your finished card an artistic, hand-dyed look.
This technique is also featured in my Cardmaking Techniques Series, but tonight I’m sharing a fresh version of it during my LIVE YouTube class.

- Four shades of green Stampin’ Up! inks – Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, Pretty Peacock
- One shade of Blue – Blueberry Bushel
- Gathering Moments Stamp Set
- Natural Botanical Stamp Set
- Blending brushes
- Heat tool
- Clear embossing powder
- Basic White & coordinating cardstock
