Handmade Birthday Card: Doubles as Gift Card Holder?! Sounds intriguing right?! I’m Making a birthday card for my son whose birthday is tomorrow. This Broadway Bound Designer series makes the perfect birthday cards for men; well…really anyone… but today I’m focused on masculine birthday cards!
This card went in the mail last week to my son so he would receive it before his birthday as I knew he was traveling for work. He’s going to celebrate his birthday for awhile which is always fun.
This easy fold is actually a gift card holder. As my kids have turned into adults and they pretty much buy what they want, it’s a challenge for me– so gift cards or cash is the way I go these days!
You will find this such an easy card to make that sitting down and making a stack of them won’t take you very long at all. Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper has two sides. The other side of the designer paper could be used for women or children which makes it the perfect go to paper for your craft stash and making a beautiful handmade birthday card!
Masculine birthday cards; DIY Birthday cards for men, are a challenge since so many stamp sets are geared toward women. The Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper was perfect for a masculine card with the black and golds. Perennial Birthday Stamp set however at first glance looks feminine but the sentiments can be for anyone!

- Whisper White Cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ and 8 1/2″
- Broadway Bound DSP – (1) 3″ x 4″, (1) 2 3/4″ x 4″, (1) 2 1/4″ x 4″
- Basic Black Cardstock – 1 1/2″ x 11″, best to wrap around card and crease with bone folder (see video why)
- Sentiment Layers – Whisper White 1″ x 3 1/2″, Gold Foil 1 1/8″ x 3 5/8″
