Gatefold Easel Cards: Why This is a Great Birthday Card Design

You may think making a gatefold easel card is difficult but it’s actually easy and I’ve got the step by step tutorial to walk you through from start to finish.

I’ve got a template and a download that you can print so you can make this easel card any time you want.

Are you excited to make a gatefold easel card now?

For this first gatefold easel card I stamped my strawberries and leaves first then punched them out with the Strawberry Builder Punch!

Stamp the solid image of the strawberries off first then stamp on Basic White cardstock.

Since this is a 2-step stamp you will stamp the second berry image full strength. Same process with the leaves.

I made a belly band to keep my gatefold easel card closed.

Your easel card has a belly band to keep it closed in mailing.

This gatefold card is also perfect as a thank you card.

You can use the gatefold easel card tutorial to make cards for any occasion.

Trimming just a smidge past the score lines the card will help this gatefold card fold smoothly. You’ll want to watch the video to see how I did that.

I scored first at 2 1/8″ then turned and scored at 5 1/2″ then turned once again to score at 2 1/8″.
