It’s time to celebrate the start of spring with a stunning Flowerpot Fun Fold Card! I am ready for everything green, bright, and colorful, and I am carrying that over into my paper craft projects. I think you are going to love this greeting card tutorial.
To start this lovely floral card, you’ll want to gather some cardstock, an embossing folder, and some floral designer or scrapbook paper or a floral stamp set.
Want to witness the magic in making this card pop? Don’t miss a second of the video tutorial included.
The first Flowerpot Fun Fold card features amazing flowers cut from Stampin’ Up! Flowering Zinnia’s designer series paper. This sensational paper pack is available in my exclusive online store. The vibrant blossoms exude a captivating charm, and I’m particularly enamored with the bold, bright colors. This card is perfect to make and send for any occasion.
This card stands and displays so nicely; simply use dimensionals on one of the flowers you cut out and place it in the center of the interior card panel.
You can write your personal message directly on the same piece of white cardstock around that center flower or add another piece of white cardstock to the back of this flowerpot fun fold card and write your heartfelt message there.

flowerpot Fun Fold card #2: stamped image
If you don’t have designer series paper that will work or you don’t want to cut out all the individual flowers then you can use a stamp set that has bold florals and stamp and color them with your favorite alcohol markers (like Stampin’ Blends); use craft dies or cut the larger image out. For this second card I used Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty.
how to make and add the flowerpot
- Trim cardstock that measures 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ by lining one end at 1/2″ and the other end in the gutter of the paper trimmer
- Flip the cardstock over and do the same thing on the other side
- Emboss this piece if you wish
- Add the flower pot to the top flap of the card with glue
- Add a second piece of cardstock that measures 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ to secure the flower pot
I am thrilled with how these flowerpot fun fold cards turned out and I think I could be happy making card after card like this all month —at least until my garden springs forth with the real blooms I can view!
