Embossing Folder Backgrounds That Are Bold
One of the simplest ways to use an embossing folder is to run it through your die-cutting machine with a piece of cardstock or metallic foil. For example, using the Changing Leaves Embossing Folder by Stampin’ Up! on gold foil can create a stunning, textured background. Add a greeting, and your card is complete!

Coloring on the debossed side of the cardstock
For a unique coloring effect, emboss your white cardstock with the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder. Then, use a small blender brush to gently color the debossing lines. Don’t worry about perfect coloring, as the next step will help clean up any stray marks.
Next, use a well-inked Memento black ink pad and drag it across the cardstock. You can check out how I did this card HERE.
Now for the special Announcement–Drum roll please!!!!
As I mentioned, I love Techniques and have taught over 100 in my Card-Making Technique Series. Today, I’m offering my new Spiral-Bound Technique Book! Packed with 55 stunning techniques, this beautifully designed guide is a must-have for any crafter.
This Technique Book contains the first 55 Techniques that I taught in my series on YouTube.
You can purchase my Technique Book in two convenient formats: as a digital download or a high-quality, spiral-bound print. I personally recommend the printed version for its durability and professional look, especially considering the book’s extensive 61 pages.
I HAD A DREAM TO HAVE A BOOK OF TECHNIQUES
I launched my Card-Making Technique Series in October 2022, using the versatile Memories and More Album, available on my Stampin’ Up! store. During our monthly classes, we filled that album with creative techniques. While it was a good start, my new Technique Book is even better!
Each Technique is on its own page and has the QR code to take you directly to the video and a time stamp for each Technique!
