Make A Stunning DIY Mother’s Day Card with Rose Gold Accents

Die Cutting· Gallery

7 Mar

Mom deserves the best, so let’s DIY Mother’s Day Card that is beautiful, unique, and easy to make! From the beautiful Rose Gold Specialty paper to die-cutting techniques, I will show you every step to make your card stunning.

If you are looking to give Mom something better than a store-bought card then I suggest starting with the elegance of rose gold specialty paper you can find in my Stampin’ Up! store. I love this because it’s an easy way to add beauty and sophistication to any Mother’s Day card.

I hope you’ll be inspired by these 3 easy card design ideas I’m making for my own friends and family! Each card features the gorgeous Rose Gold Specialty paper.

DIY Mother’s Day Card

My audience got a sneak peek at two of these cards recently on a YouTube Live. They voted not to put a greeting on the card front so that nothing would detract from all the lovely shimmer and shine. I tried both ways on the cards I made today, so let me know which you like best. Don’t forget that photos can’t capture their true sparkle, so see them shine in the video!

🌷 Aside from adding the Rose Gold Specialty paper to your ‘must-have’ craft list, what other elements do you need to make your BEST DIY Mother’s Day Card? Share your ideas because we all learn from each other!

The Stampin’ Up! Rose Gold Specialty Paper pack has six 12” x 12” size in three different sheens; iridescent, matte, and metallic. You get two sheets of each sheen and the variety of the finishes makes it easy to choose the perfect feminine touch for your Mother’s Day cards.

I used the ‘Everyday Details Dies’ on both the basic black and rose gold papers.

I chose to stamp the ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ (Perennial Postage stamp set) in Versamark, cover it with black embossing powder and heat set.

DIY Mother’S Day Card #2

Despite the ‘no greeting’ vote from my audience, this second Mother’s Day card, I felt, needed a sentiment, so I heat embossed one!

The sheen of Rose Gold on this card uses iridescent paper. You can see the beauty of this piece in the picture below!

DIY Mother’S Day Card #3

Curious how I combined a fun fold, embossed rose gold paper, and a subtle greeting? Check out the video!

TIP: Place an acrylic block on the embossed Rose Gold Specialty Paper after adding glue to the black layer to ensure it sticks well.
