Die Cutting and Embossing a Floral Card | Floral Frames Swap

Birthday Cards· Uncategorized

26 Jul

I love the floral cards! But die cutting and embossing a floral card? Well…now that takes it to a whole other level! Beautiful but easy.

I decided to make this floral frames swap card for my Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise that I am on this week!  Demonstrators love to swap ideas and oooh and aaah over each others creativity!  We each had to make 26 cards and I will return with 25…Stampin’ Up! cards to keep!

Video Tutorial: Die Cutting and Embossing a Floral Card | Floral Frames Swap

I did a lot of die cutting and embossing with the Big Shot to make all of these cards! The designer series paper and the silver foil sheets add such a lovely touch, don’t you think?  I’d love to hear your thoughts on this card!

I started out by stamping the floral frame in blackberry bliss on whisper white cardstock. Then, I used the embossing buddy on blackberry bliss cardstock, stamped my image in versa mark ink, covered all of that in white embossing powder and heat set it with the heat tool.

I just love that pop of white on blackberry bliss!!

What does it take to make 26 of this card? Lots of die cutting and embossing, for one! I die cut these frames out of blackberry bliss.

Die Cutting

Next, I cut out all the stamped circles and cut that beautiful Petal Promenade designer series paper. AND of course, die cutting and embossing of all those lovely flowers!

To assemble the card you’ll attach the designer paper panel and the embossed whisper white panel to the blackberry bliss panel as shown.

After that, you can attach your silver metallic edge ribbon to hide the seam and wrap it around to the back. You can then adhere that whole panel to the thick whisper white card base.

In order to finish your card off, layer your die cutting and embossing pieces as you desire on the focal point of your card and attach with dimensionals.

Here’s what you’ll need to make YOUR card. Don’t worry! You don’t have to make 26 (unless you just want to) so you’ll be able to create this card in no time.
