Looking For Some Creative Cards to DIY? Try This Easy Card Layout

Birthday Cards· Gallery· Mystery Stamping Cards

13 Jun

Want creative cards to DIY? I made 2 cards with the Happiness Abounds bundle with a card layout that is very versatile.

I chose the Happiness Abounds bundle for several reasons

  • Stamp set has greetings and images, which I always recommend
  • The Blossoming Happiness Dies cut out the flowers on the “Hues of Happiness” Designer Paper
  • It’s pretty!

For the 1st Creative cards to DIY I chose the new ‘Stylish Shapes’ Dies to cut the circles and banner.

The video tutorial shows how easy this card was to make!

Creative Card 1:

Cardstock colors: Parakeet Party and Starry Sky

The first creative card DIY put to use the ‘Timeworn Type’ embossing folder and gave the card a subtle texture. I used scissors to cut the blue (Starry Sky) banner tail.

Creative Card 2:

For those that don’t have the Stylish Shapes dies not to worry. Your creative cards DIY can be made simply by using your paper trimmer to cut your designer or scrapbook paper into a square, rectangle, or any shape you want to make. Or, maybe you’ll use a punch shape!
