I’ve got the cheerful card idea of your dreams! You get 2 greeting cards out of this ~ not just one! I also will show you ways to add texture to your cards!
On my video you will see how I began the design of these cards and used some of my best card making supplies to add texture and layers to the card.
I used the ‘Tasteful Textures’ and ‘Beauty Abounds’ stamp sets for the background images. Once I completed the stamping for these handmade cards, I embossed the layer with the ‘Subtle’ 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Stampin’ Up! ‘Butterfly Gala’ for the butterfly, colored it with markers and popped it up as my final layer. Loads of texture on this bright and happy card!
These colors reminded me of a favorite dress I owned years ago, which I am sure would not be in style today but I just loved it back then! Look at these bright colors together–makes for a cheerful card idea, right?!

What color combination will you use for your cheerful card idea?
My color combination on these cards is Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green. Simply reversing how I made the cards with Granny Apple Green cardstock as my main layer on this card. Do you notice the texture on the cardstock? Subtle 3D Embossing Folder was used on my Granny Apple Green Cardstock and then again on my Whisper White Cardstock after I stamped on it. You always want to stamp first, then emboss!
Alternated using Pacific Point cardstock as my main layer also embossed. These are the types of cards that are addicting to make! Stamping & Embossing, Reversing the way you use the layers all make these super fun cards to make!
