BUT…even if you are a more experienced stamper I would recommend you watch the videos because there are a few tips that might be new to you and sometimes it’s good just to refresh our memories!
While it has been 21 years since I began card making I remember the experience well! I had attended my first Stampin’ Up! workshop and back then the orders took 5-6 weeks to arrive! I was impatient so I went to a local craft store and bought some stamps, markers and paper. The stamps were too big for the card I was making and the markers wouldn’t color the stamp image like I had seen demonstrated at the workshop!
That mistake cost me $67 and while I hated to waste money I was happy to wait for the arrival of the order I had placed since the demonstrator helped me choose what to order!

This card is a basic card that is both easy and fun to do. No cutting, measuring or stress!
When you are first starting out there are a few very basic supplies you need to allow you to create cards to send to family and friends. While there are so many other things to choose from if you will focus on these items first your budget will thank you!
- Choose any Photopolymer Stamp Set – I advise a set that has both images and sentiments, I chose Enjoy Life for today’s handmade card.
- Pick Three Stamp Pad Colors – I used Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch
- You also need a Black Ink Pad – My choice was the Tuxedo Memento Black Ink
- Note Cards and Envelopes
- Clear Block “D” or one that is suggested for the stamp set you choose if you don’t use the Enjoy Life set that I demonstrated.
When looking in the Stampin’ Up! catalog you will notice under each set suggested Clear Blocks to use. I recommend you choose the largest one if you can only purchase one to allow you to use it for all images.
