Today I have a SWEET card making tutorial for easel cards. The Stampin Up! Sweetest Thing Bundle helped me make this cute birthday card for one of my granddaughters! With 9 grandkids I am always needing birthday cards for them and their parents! Elise is getting into stamping and I know she will love this card because it is an Easel Fold that she can display either in her bedroom or in the little craft area that she has!
How Sweet It Is Designer Series papers have some great patterns and I chose the striped one because these are some of her favorite colors!
Candy pieces in the stamped jar were easy to make with just some scraps of Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay scraps, don’t you love the embossed look of the candy?
Dimensionals help keep the easel open. As you will see on my video I simply used the Framelits to cut the DSP candy jars. Just love how the Framelits fit so well because it made this card very quick and easy to make!
Supplies
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo
Measurements
- Bermuda Bay – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, scrap for candy
- Melon Mambo – scraps for candy
- DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White – 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for Happy Birthday
Make it a Sweet Celebration stamped inside finishes off this Tutorial for an easel Birthday Card for Elise and knowing her, she will make it a Sweet Celebration! And….perhaps she will want to use this tutorial for easel card some day.
