Card Making Techniques Vol 7 brings 5 new techniques this month. This gets us to 40 papercraft techniques in this series!

We have been learning or revisiting techniques for Card Making since October 2021 and I hope you are enjoying the collection of techniques and inspiration!

I designed Technique Project sheets to go in the Stampin’ Up! Album (item #144203) and the Photo Pocket Pages (item #144205) or use a three-ring binder. Whatever way you chose to store your technique tutorials you will have a great reference book to flip through to find the perfect technique for the paper craft project of your dreams!

The key to creating a faux tile look is to score first, then stamp. It almost looks like grout!

Each month I offer a FREE tutorial with a purchase from my online store (www.sharonarmstrong.stampin.net); you can receive your copy FREE with a $50 minimum order.

Technique 2: Ghost Stamping

Vol-7-technique-2-is-called-ghost-stamping
Ghost stamping gives a whole new look. I used craft white & poppy parade inks for my flower and added mossy meadow ink for leaves and stems. Stamp Set used: Art Gallery

Technique 3: Herringbone

Herringbone Technique is great way to use cardstock scraps. You could use designer paper too!

Technique 4: Faux Porcelain

Use only glossy paper for this technique (such as photo paper). Simple, elegant–great for Wedding or Anniversary card.

Capturing the Porcelain effect with the camera is hard but on the video you can see how delicate it looks!

Technique 5: faux watercolor

You will love the Faux Watercolor Technique. Apply color with a Q-tip or small brush after you’ve embossed a bold image with white embossing powder. It’s key to add water and blot it off.

Morning Sharon, I think I registered for the Monday Mystery Card Fun Time. I forgot about it but watched the 11 April video on You-tube. Of course, I went nuts and had to stop working on the Tea Party invites and favors. I made one for my son. His BD is this week and with all the stuff I am doing for the tea party, I forgot about his BD. Praying he will forgive me when he sees the card. lol I was amazed about the cross over. Just this week, God gave me and idea for a card. So, when I saw yours, I thought I better get busy making mine. Now I just have to stop to make one. Thanks so much for doing the videos. I love them. Don’t worry about Stella, your hair or nails. Have a Blessed Easter week. Susan
