Card Making Techniques Vol 11

Card Making Techniques

1 Dec

I have missed sharing Card Making Technique so I’m back with Card Making Techniques Vol 11! I hope that you love this month’s techniques as much as I do! They are fun to create with for sure!

Are you new to my blog? The Card Making Technique Series was designed to show you card making techniques (or remind you of old ones) plus show you ways to store the ideas in one place — a reference resource.

You can get this month’s Card Making Techniques Vol 11 for Free with a $50 order on my Stampin’ Up! website or you can purchase the tutorials in my Tutorial Shop.

CARD MAKING TECHNIQUES VOL 11 INCLUDES:

  • Masking Tape
  • White Washed Embossing Folder
  • Colored Vellum
  • Blended Mist Technique
  • Embossing With a Twist

TECHNIQUE #1 Masking Tape

Masking tape? YES! This one has been around for years but you seldom see anyone using it. It’s a great technique for card backgrounds and super easy and quick to create. I used the masking tape sticky side down in the ink pad and used it as you would a stamp.

I would love to hear which technique was your favorite in the Card Making Techniques Vol 11 series.

TECHNIQUE #2 WHITE WASHED EMBOSSING FOLDER

For this card technique, it’s best to use a solid image embossing folder. The video shows 2 different attempts; the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder worked perfectly.

If you’re done making your Christmas cards for this year go ahead and make some of these for next year!

TECHNIQUE #3 COLORED VELLUM

Coloring on the back of a stamped image on Vellum has always been a favorite but using Stampin’ Blends instead of Stampin’ Write Markers really makes a difference! You will love this very forgiving Technique!

TECHNIQUE #4 BLENDED MISTED TECHNIQUE

I was inspired to try this technique after watching Linda Dalke from Australia! It was different and I absolutely loved it. I added my own variation to the technique so make sure you watch the video to see what I did!

technique #5 Embossing with a twist

Let’s talk heat embossing with a little twist. I used a two step stamp called Artistically Inked to create this Embossed card with a twist! The twist is how I created the background!

For those of you that have a Cardmaking Reference Guide I have shared some Free Technique Downloads for your book and I promised a way for you to keep track of them. You can visit the Tutorial Store and download this form for FREE

If you need the FREE downloads you can find the Highlighted Scrunch Technique Here and the Ink Pad/Sponge Dauber Technique Here
