Card Making: Buffalo Check Meets Country Home

Gallery· Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers· Uncategorized

I was so excited when I figured out how to make a greeting card with red and white checkered tablecloth! Today I’ll share a tip- Card Making: Buffalo check meets Country Home.  I’ll tell you all about it in the video tutorial below!

Country Home stamp set is so much fun and meets all my criteria with a stamp set because it has words and images!  Having both allows you to create multiple cards and switch up the stamps to create unique cards for every special person on your list! The best card making combo there is!

How to Create Speckled Pitcher

Don’t you love my speckled pitcher?  When my husband did Chuckwagon cook offs we searched for metal flecked dishes and this can reminded me of those days!  To get this look I used the Stampin’ Blends color lifter!

That lifter is like a little eraser for the Stampin’ Blends.  It removes color when you make a mistake or want to achieve a look like I did.

Since I am in love with the framelits from the Frosted Bouquet Framelit Dies  I had to pull that out for this card.  The sentiment fit perfectly and is stamped in Real Red Ink.

How to Stamp the Card

Since the images take up most of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White layer I recommend stamping from top to bottom.  Stamp the floral arrangement first with Memento Ink (if using Stampin’ Blends like I did) then stamp the pitcher.

Take the Buffalo Check Background and ink it up in Real Red ink, use a piece of Whisper White cardstock and place on top of the stamp.  You will cut strips to make the tablecloth.  Watch my video for some tips on how to do that.
