Using the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies collection, I’ll guide you through creating these show-stopping shaker cards step by step. Step 1: Create the Background

Start by embossing a piece of cardstock or Designer Series Paper like the Beautiful Bokeh with the Beautiful Butterflies embossing folder. This will give your shaker card a gorgeous textured backdrop. If you want added dimension, lightly ink the raised areas with a blending tool to highlight the design.

Step 2: Die-Cut Your Window

Using the coordinating butterfly die, cut a window into the center of your embossed panel. This will be the shaker area. If desired, add extra ink blending or splatter effects for more depth and interest.

Step 3: Add the Acetate Window

Cut a piece of clear acetate slightly larger than your die-cut opening and adhere it to the back of your embossed panel using strong adhesive. This will create the front window of your shaker card.

Step 4: Create the Shaker Element

Apply foam adhesive strips around the cut-out window, ensuring there are no gaps for the shaker elements to escape. Add sequins, beads, or glitter to the shaker area. Then, carefully place a backing piece of cardstock over the foam adhesive to seal the shaker compartment.

Step 5: Assemble the Card

Attach the completed shaker panel to a card base using strong adhesive. Then, stamp and die-cut a butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and adhere it to the front of your card for added dimension.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

Stamp a sentiment on a small banner and attach it to your card. You can also embellish with additional die-cut butterflies, gems, or a touch of wink of Stella for extra sparkle!
