Boxed Greeting Cards: How to DIY This Perfect Gift Idea

Gallery· Gifts & 3D Paper Projects· Uncategorized

20 Feb

I’m excited to show you my boxed greeting cards and teach you how to DIY this perfect gift idea! Follow along with the easy steps in the video tutorial and you’ll be able to share your greeting cards as a beautiful DIY gift.

Creating a beautiful DIY paper box to hold handmade cards is easy when you use my template!

My niece is getting married and I decided a boxed greeting cards set would make a lovely gift.  The box will hold 10 -12 cards with envelopes!

I’m using the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Bundle and the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Paper. I think you will agree it is so pretty!

Which of these boxed greeting cards was your favorite? Will you plan to make this box? I love hearing from you!

Pool Party cardstock used to make the box starts with a sheet of 12″ x 12″.  Stampin’ Up! sells multi colored packages of cardstock and Pool Party is included in Subtles 12″ x 12″ package.

The flower that is used is from the Forever Blooms stamp set.  Stamped with Black Memento, colored with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo.  Hard to see but I used Wink of Stella on the flowers!

Since I was making so many cards to fill the box I used other items so they would all look different.  Still using Forever Blossoms Stamp set but added So Sentimental Stamp set.

Measurements on this card is Petal Pink Layer 4″x 5 1/4″, Basic Black 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ & Whisper White 3″ x 4″.  Champagne Embellishments are the pretty bling that you see.  Place the Whisper White layer directly on the Petal Pink Layer, Stamp the Blossoms with Memento Ink on both pieces at the same time, color with Petal Pink and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

On this card I used Versamark Ink and Black Emboss Powder on the flowers (heat set) then colored with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  Sentiment layer used the Stitched Nested Dies.

After cutting the Ovals using the Layering Ovals dies, I stamped the sentiment in the center then using an Aqua Painter I flicked Pool Party and Petal Pink ink over to give it a different look!

Since I was using So Sentimental I pulled out the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly dies for my sentiment layer!

Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder helped me create just two notecards for her to use whenever she needs to send a card!

Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper has touches of Champagne highlights so I layered it on Champagne Foil!

After I stamped the flower I punched it out with the 2″ circle punch, Starburst punch was used to punch out more Champagne Foil!

I just love the Cherry Cobbler & Champagne Eiffel towers in this pattern!  All it needed was a sentiment and a touch of ribbon!

I shared a similar card with y’all before and since I loved the easy layout I made another one and just added Champagne Rhinestones!
