Blending Brushes: The Secret Tool to Making Amazing Paper Crafts

Cards for Friends· Gallery

24 Jun

Blending brushes are a must-have in my craft room. I use them for handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and more.

I have been asked a lot lately, “How do you use blending brushes?” Or ‘What is the best tool for blending ink? So, today I have some card ideas using these brushes and the stamp sets called ‘Create with Friends’ and ‘Butterfly Brilliance’.

One of the combinations of stamps says Friends Forever and my team name is Stamping Friends Forever! When I named my team that I really meant that we are friends forever even if they chose not to stay on my team they are always welcomed back!

Blending brushes blend ink so smoothly on this handmade card background.

On the video below I’ll show you even more ideas to use those fabulous blending brushes and more!

What project will you use your blending brushes for? I would love to hear!

The Stampin' Up! blending brushes are easy to use and high quality.

On this card I started blending on a layer of Pool Party cardstock. I used Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point inks using the blending brushes to layer one color at a time. This technique is almost addicting!

I used my Stamparatus on this large butterfly stamp– this was way easier to ink up with Versamark and stamp!

How fun to use the blending brushes this way and I love how beautiful my card turned out.

After I created a soft background with my blending brushes I stamped butterflies on top for a subtle look.

On this card I decided to pour clear emboss powder over the Versamark butterflies. It really made them pop! If you enjoy embossing with your Heat Tool this is another option to step up this technique on top of using your blending brushes!

You can use your blending brushes to layer different shades or colors of ink.

Since I usually use the Blending Brushes on Basic White I had to try that too!

Stampin’ Up! is offering such a great deal during March for joining! You can shop for up to $155 but only pay $99 plus tax, FREE Shipping! I hope you will join my Stamping Friends Forever Team! So we can create together! You can read more about joining as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator here
